“The story was very well plotted, so as to keep us guessing and periodically having to re-think our conclusions. Delivery of hints throughout the drama was well-paced, which also applies to the ‘red-herrings’ – some deliberately to mislead and some where we just got it wrong but had great fun speculating what their significance might be. It was a very satisfying ending, both in the way the many questions that arose were answered within an in-character acted scene, and how our group’s final analysis was reviewed. I appreciated the attention to detail and historical accuracy within the drama, the way the spaces available in the house and garden were utilised, and the freedom us participants had to make our own characters in our joint role as house guests acting as agents of a detective.” Shelia
Experience a proper intimate Murder Mystery experience, immersing yourself in the story which runs over multiple days! This isn’t just an evening Murder Mystery event… this could well be the best Murder Mystery Weekend you’ll experience!
The multi-day Murder Mystery is a fully interactive, live-action, immersive, theatre experience. The experienced actors will be ‘in character’ for the entire weekend and will interact with the guests freely. There is no ‘stage’ – the characters are around and among the guests throughout. The plot, clues and motives are revealed as the weekend progresses. There may even be opportunities to rummage through the characters’ possessions or find clues around the property! Anything could happen at anytime…anywhere!
One thing that guests can be assured of is that the event will be performed entirely by the experienced cast of Death On Demand. No guest is asked or expected to play a role; other than detective! However, guests are welcome to dress according to the era.
It’s like being in your own epic game of Cluedo!
We have developed these weekends to be performed at the wonderful Dell House, in Malvern Wells, and our weekends work perfectly there! However, we are now due to perform at Llangoed Hall and Craig y Nos Castle, with more locations in the pipeline. Everything can be adapted…
Our Weekend Murder Mysteries work well for intimate groups as small as 6, up to 40 people.
The following example takes place over a weekend, but these ‘multi-day’ Murder Mysteries can take place during any days of the week! Perfect for a corporate team building event!
Starting on Friday night, the action takes place throughout the evening, through the whole of Saturday and culminates on the Saturday evening. There is also the option of a Q&A session with the actors (out of character) on the Sunday morning before your guests check out.
Therefore, the weekend Murder Mystery can take one of the following structures:
- 2 Days – Friday evening until late on Saturday night.
- 3 Days – Friday evening until late morning on Sunday including a Q&A with the actors.
However, we are flexible and we can work around you and your establishment!

“Murder mystery at Dell House: Just returned from a fabulous weekend away at Dell House! We went for one of their murder mystery weekends run by Death on Demand. The mystery script was very well crafted, supported by excellent actors and held in a venue that complimented the 1920’s script, leading to a very immersive experience . Kevin and Elizabeth ( B and B owners) were superb hosts and the ambiance was spot on. It was a treat to dress up in costume and pretend to escape to the 1920’s. As a location, you will need to provide:
- The accommodation and catering you have agreed with the guests.
- Shared self catering accommodation for 4 actors throughout the weekend. Ideally on site, but locally can also work!
